Photo AI in African languages: take a photo and ask
Sometimes typing the whole problem is harder than showing it. Mzansi Mind lets a signed-in user attach or take a photo, ask a question in the selected language and receive an explanation in that language when online.
What you can photograph
Useful examples include a school letter, a product label, an appliance control, a simple form, an unfamiliar object or a visible everyday problem. The clearer your question, the more useful the explanation can be.

How to take a better photo
Use good light, keep the important text in focus and crop out unrelated background. A single clear image is usually better than several blurry uploads. Do not include another person, an ID number, bank information or private account details unless they are genuinely necessary.
- Fill the frame with the relevant object or page.
- Keep all important text visible and upright.
- Avoid glare and heavy shadows.
- Cover private details before uploading.
Why photo help is online
The app sends the chosen photo and question through Mzansi Mind’s server to an online AI provider after permission is given. That processing needs an internet connection. Essential offline mode cannot inspect a new photo or fetch current information.
The optional setting that allows future text questions and answers to be retained for language improvement does not include photos. Read the Privacy Policy before sending sensitive material.
Know the safety limit
Image AI can miss small text, misidentify an object or give a confident but wrong explanation. Do not rely on it to diagnose a medical condition, confirm whether food or medicine is safe, make a legal decision, or repair dangerous electrical or mechanical equipment.

Questions people ask
Does photo AI work offline?
No. A new photo must be uploaded for online processing, so photo help requires internet.
Will Mzansi Mind answer in my selected language?
The app is designed to explain the photo in the selected language, although AI can still make language mistakes.
Are my photos used to train the app?
Photos are not included in the optional setting for retaining future text questions and answers to improve language quality.
Can photo AI read every document correctly?
No. Blur, handwriting, glare and complex layouts can cause errors. Check important details against the original document.
